How to verify a job offer independently

Don't rely solely on the information the recruiter gives you. Take a few minutes to verify through independent sources.

• Search for the company's official website directly — don't click links from the recruiter.
• Check if the same role is listed on the company's official careers page.
• Look up the recruiter on LinkedIn to confirm they work at the claimed company.
• Contact the company's HR department using contact information from their official website.
• Compare the recruiter's email domain to the company's website domain.
